I am a retired physician and professor of medicine. I have been married to Susan for 57 years and we have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I regard my life with a mixture of wonderment, delight and gratitude, emotions that I hope are reflected in my poems. I am an Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and Ottawa Civic Hospital where I practiced Gastroenterology and taught medical students. Since retirement I have written an on-line account of a period in rural General Practice, a book describing a period in the Canadian Navel reserve, a memoire, and a book of poems. My training years took me from hometown Windsor, Ontario to Toronto, Utica New York, Tavistock, Montreal, Charlotte North Carolina, Vancouver and London England.
